How The System Works

AWM Blood Donor Society is a voluntary platform that connects blood donors with people who need blood. Our system makes it easy to find donors and request blood during medical emergencies.

1 Become a Blood Donor

If you want to become a Blood Donor, simply sign up by clicking on "Become A Blood Donor" or "Register" on our website. Fill in your information, and you will be enrolled as a donor.

2 Update Your Donation Date

When you donate blood, log in to your account and update the donation date so your data stays accurate. Your name will be temporarily removed from the donor list for 4 months after donation. If you are unable to donate for any reason, please notify us immediately using "Contact Us" link.

3 Search for Blood Donors

If you need blood, use our Search Donor feature to find available donors by blood type and location. You can contact them directly using the provided contact information.

🆕 NEW FEATURE: Post Blood Request

We've added a powerful new feature to help you find donors faster! You can now post a blood request that will:

  • Display on Homepage: Your blood request appears on the main page where all visitors can see it
  • Send Push Notifications: All registered users who have enabled notifications will receive an instant alert about your blood need
  • Reach More Donors: Instead of just searching, you can broadcast your urgent need to the entire community
📱 How Notifications Work

Users receive blood request notifications if they have:

  • Android & Desktop: Installed the AWM app and enabled notifications
  • iPhone: Added AWM to their home screen and enabled notifications

This ensures that potential donors are immediately notified when someone needs blood, making the response time much faster during emergencies.

4 Ensure Medical Safety

Important: All blood donations must be conducted at proper medical facilities (hospitals or certified blood banks) with proper testing and screening. Always consult with healthcare professionals before donating or receiving blood.

5 Stay Connected

Enable notifications to receive instant alerts when someone in your area needs blood. You can make a difference by responding quickly to blood requests and helping save lives.
